The Energy Saving Trust was set up to address the effects of climate change by promoting the efficient use of energy, especially within the home. Products which comply with energy efficiency standards are awarded an Energy Saving Logo.

The Energy Saving Trust state that almost 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide is created by each household every year, with upto 20% of heat and energy loss occurring through windows. This has negative effects for both the environment and the consumer.

Camden, in response to this, introduced the eCare Energy Rated windows into their product range in November 2007. The range consists of 17 sealed units approved by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC), ranging from A – C rated windows.

This new commendation further highlights Camden’s commitment to the promotion of energy efficiency for both the environment and the consumer.
